September 6, 2019, “Theater Art Studio” opens the 15th season with the play “Three Sisters” by A.P. Chekhov.

“Since this year officially we are a section of the Moscow Art Theater , – said Sergey Zhenovach. “At the same time, we remain that the “Theater Art Studio” has its own traditions and history. We do not merge with anyone and live our own life. ”

“It is to be hoped that this year we will live happily, cheerfully, jubilee. But the main thing that I want to do is remember all our performances over the 15 years. On March 1, we will make a joyful anniversary evening, and in February we will play our entire repertoire. All performances, including the search work of Vera Kamyshnikova on “Procession” Brodsky. And а new stage version of our play ”A family in decline”.

Each performance of this season is our birthday celebration, so we will treat all of our spectators with festive apple charlotte.

From January, Sergey Zhenovach starts rehearsing the new play.

“This is the year of the anniversary of the Great Patriotic War . There is a lot of discussion over this topic, a lot of falsehood, lies. I would like to speak on this subject. I suggest  a play based on the book by Anatoly Kuznetsov “Babi Yar”. This is a documentary novel, piercing, honest, it is impossible to read it without tears. ”

This will be a search work, the whole troupe of the theater will take part in it.

Also this season, together with the Bakhrushin Museum, we are planning an exhibition dedicated to the 15th anniversary of Theater Art Studio. This will be an exhibition of photographs of Alexander Ivanishin, a wonderful photographer who has been shooting our theater since its birth.
